Team Play (Grades 3-8)

The club groups teams at three age levels: Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, and Grades 7-8. The season includes home and travel games against other clubs in the region, as well as two tournaments.

Preseason starts in March. Games start in April. Registration is in the winter (no try-outs). Join the Email List to be notified when registration opens.

  • A US Lacrosse Youth Membership is required for participation in all MGLC programs. The annual fee is $35 and the website for USA Lacrosse is https://www.usalacrosse.com/membership. You will be asked for your membership number as part of the registration process.

  • Registration includes an option to immediately waive the registration fee. The fee waiver is intended for families in financial need.

  • FOR GRADES 3-8 ONLY

    Jerseys ordered are meant to last 2 years. As such, be sure to err on sizing up.

  • Grades 3-4 (combined)

    Introduce the fundamentals of lacrosse to players in a 7v7 small field format.

    2 evenly-matched teams (with 3rd and 4th graders) practice together and play games typically side by side.

  • Grades 5 & 6 (separate)

    Introduce players to full field game play (11v11). Kids build on fundamentals through competitive team play and learn modified checking.

  • Grades 7 & 8 (separate)

    Provide a competitive training program and team play to help players in grades 7/8 prepare for high school lacrosse.

2026 Spring Season Details

  • MGLC uses TeamSnap for practices and games. Full schedule will be communicated via email and TeamSnap.

  • Weekly winter preseason practices are in March.

  • Outdoor practices will begin in April (Mon/Wed/Sat typically).

  • Games will start in April and go through May (Mon/Wed/Sat typically).

Required Gear: Players will need to bring their own lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard, cleats and water

Personal Equipment Donations

Please donate any individual equipment (or jerseys) that your child no longer needs. These items will be offered to other families who are starting out in lacrosse.

A notice will go out to all registered players.
